Draft policy · Requires review and contact details before public launch

This draft describes data handled by the current Envy bot. It is not legal advice and must be reviewed and completed by the project owner before publication.

Data the current bot stores

When Envy is in a Discord server, it stores that server’s Discord ID, name, icon, and owner ID to maintain server configuration. If the economy is used, it stores Discord member IDs, server-specific balances, reward claim timestamps, and transaction records. The current bot does not request Discord’s message-content intent.

Why this data is used

Server data identifies the community whose settings are being maintained. Member IDs associate balances with Discord accounts, and claim timestamps enforce reward cooldowns. Transaction records support the economy’s payment history and integrity.

Retention and deletion

The project owner must define and implement a retention schedule and request process before launch. Database records associated with a server are removed when that server record is deleted; an operational user-data request process is not yet available.

Website and sign-in

This website does not currently provide Discord OAuth sign-in, a dashboard, or payment processing. If those features are introduced, this policy must be updated to explain the data and providers involved before activation.

Contact

Project owner: add a monitored privacy contact address before publication. Do not send sensitive account information through public channels.
